Local entrepreneur and owner of ME Beauty, LLC, Tiffany Piggee´ partners with the Joyful Heart Foundation; Is there hope for survivors of sexual assault?

Studies show Every 98 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted.

ROCHESTER, MI. - Nov 7, 2017 - As more survivors come forward and share their stories of sexual assault,  ME Beauty, LLC has released a special edition bottle of Bumpcology® Serum for the Joyful Heart Foundation.  $5 from the purchase of every special edition bottle of  Bumpcology® will go to the foundation.  Whose mission is to transform society’s response to sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse, support survivors’ healing, and end this violence forever.

Consumers love their beauty products, there’s been a growing trend since the 2016 election for independent beauty brands to use their platform to speak out against social injustice.  Piggee´ has used her skills as an esthetician and business owner to speak out against social injustice, raise money, and awareness for local non-profit agencies since 2009.  This partnership with the Joyful Heart Foundation was a natural progression for her, ME Beauty brand.

“I want to change society’s  knee jerk reaction to female business ownership.  I’m really helping people address issues they with their skin.  As a business owner I add value to the overall well being, public safety, and economic growth of this country and my contribution deserves respect, recognition and celebration.”- Piggee´.

As a survivor Piggee´ believes that limited resources given to address the issue of sexual assault in our communities is because women are outnumbered in positions of leadership.  We have very little representation, as a result, our issues take a back seat.”- Piggee´

According to the Joyful Heart Foundation’s website, sexual violence is not an isolated problem. One in three women are survivors of sexual violence and one in six men are survivors of sexual violence.

Joyful Heart Foundation launched ENDTHEBACKLOG.org, the premier online hub for public research, information and news on ending the rape kit backlog in the United States; and more recently their  PLEDGE TO SPEAK UP campaign.

Piggee´ set out to provide a place for both women and men to receive hair removal and skin care services.  In doing so,  she has combined her passion for esthetics, love of people, and desire for social equality into a business.  This partnership's goal is to offer both hope and healing to all survivors of sexual assault.
